Despite Saturday’s unusual October heat the Witham Hockey Ladies 2nd XI still managed to play well and were able to enjoy the weekend with a deserved victory over Brentwood. An amazing goal from Carrie Hicks and two from Sue Field secured the victory for Witham, however had the late disallowed chance from Brentwood stood then there could have been a tense finish to the game. Witham goalkeeper, and player of the match, Nicky Mann stood strong throughout and was unfortunate to concede the one Brentwood goal.

Witham Team:
Nicky Mann
Claire White
Jackie James
Harley Lucas
Lisa Rodda
Kelly Johnson
Sue Field
Sam Field
